The first graders are continuing to work hard!  We are finishing up our work as Word Detectives and using all of the strategies we know to tackle tricky words in our books.  We are also continuing to work on our reading stamina.  In writing, we are just getting ready to give into informational writing as we teach others how to do something that we are an expert in.

In math, we are learning about SO many new and important topics.  We are beginning to explore measurement and are continuing our work with number patterns as we look to see how numbers change in a sequence.  We are also working to become experts with using math tools to help us solve all different types of problems.
