SEPAC
SEPAC stands for Special Education Parent Advisory Council, and is a group of parents, guardians, and caregivers who work together to advocate for children with special needs. SEPACs are a key part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which emphasizes collaboration between parents and educators.
Special Education Parent Advisory Committee
Special Education Parent Advisory Groups are required for all school districts in New Jersey. The purpose of these groups is to provide opportunities for parents and community members to offer input to their districts on critical issues relating to students with disabilities.
