Special Services

Our Special Services Department is dedicated to ensuring every student in New Milford feels seen, valued, and supported as a unique learner. From a caring and collaborative perspective, our mission is to provide individualized services that help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in the least restrictive and most inclusive environment possible. We work side by side with families, teachers, related service providers, and community partners to remove barriers to learning and to build on each child’s strengths. Together, we strive to create trusting relationships, open communication, and shared problem-solving so that students develop the skills they need to think critically, form positive connections, and participate fully in school and in the community. Above all, our department exists to champion every student’s potential and to make sure each child knows they belong, they matter, and they can succeed. (Click here for Eileens' welcome letter)
