I graduated Cum Laude from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English Secondary Education and a Minor in Psychology in December 2008.  I then went back to Montclair and graduated in May of 2012 with a Master's Degree in English with a concentration in American Literature. In December of 2017, I completed my English as a Second Language Teacher certification through Rowan University. I have taught both middle and high school, and have been at David E. Owens since September 2012.  In Language Arts, I try to emphasize how reading and writing are really important ways we communicate with others.  Students read and write a variety of texts throughout the year and learn how to effectively communicate through those texts. Reading is a passion of mine and I hope I can help my students find books that they can fall in love with too.
